In 2005, two days into our honeymoon, our first Vizsla Lady
was born. Mark had a Vizsla rescue when he was young, and knew
that he would always own Vizslas. Crystal was a dog
nut who threatened to run away when she was 4 if her parents
wouldn't buy her a dog, and spent her time since she was 8
volunteering at shelters. We just wanted a pet and had no intentions of
anything else, but we've been sucked into the world of competition
and have never looked back! Our dogs are competitors and
hunters, but
mostly they are part of our family, bed warmers, and snugglebugs.
We both have always lived in
Florida, have always loved the beach, and we have passed
that love along to our dogs. Our Vizslas spend long
summer days at the dog beach in Venice, Florida and at St George Island, Florida chasing
seagulls, digging in the sand, and playing with their
friends.
Although we
have only been involved in the Vizsla world for a little
over 3 years, we have big plans for Jake and Lady.
Mark is a gunner for the Tampa Bay Vizsla Club and Crystal
helps out on occasion as Field Trial Secretary. Crystal is also the Rescue Chair for
the TBVC, so we usually have a few extras dogs in the house, and is also the webmaster for
the TBVC Website and the
TBVC Rescue site.
We won't be
breeding anytime soon, pretty Lady is unfortunately spayed
and Jake has some growing to do, but if you're looking for a
Vizsla, e-mail us and I'm certain we can help you find a
reputable breeder or a rescue!
