Lady is our first Vizsla, and to us she is everything perfect about the breed. She has tail wags and butt wiggles for every person and dog she meets, she's the dog park welcoming committee. She's gentle and submissive, playful and outgoing, and as people have said "you can tell Lady has a huge heart." She's a Champion at snuggling and stealing the covers and most people call her "sweet little Lady." Lady believes that she was born in a show ring. She has beautiful floating movement and an attitude that always says "look at me!" While the other dogs play at the dog park, Lady gaits in circles, head held high, prancing for the invisible judges and listening to the silent cheers. Her attitude also benefits her in the agility ring, where she has only needs 1 leg for her Novice Jumpers title. Lady was born while we were on our honeymoon in Hawaii. We named her after the area in Maui that we stayed, Wailea. We got her to be just a pet, but she became so much more than that. Lady was a very energetic puppy and needed an outlet for all of her energy. We were invited to a hunt Fun Day, she was excited about birds, and that began our journey of competition. She received her Junior Hunter title in October of 2006 going 5 for 6 passes and finished her Senior Hunter title in 2009. She is ready for Master Hunter as soon as Mark can polish her retrieve. She is an excellent personal hunting dog and loves to hunt pheasant in Virginia. We spayed Lady before we got involved in competition, so she will never be shown to a Championship. Crystal looks forward to showing her in the Veterans Class in a few years, she was born to show. She is an amazing girl, and sets the standard for all other Vizslas we will ever own. Our Little Lady in Red is truly a Versatile Vizsla!
